Our Independent Business Affiliate Program provides the perfect “soft-landing” for wirehouse advisors that are making the move to independence. Our Team has first hand knowledge of the pressures and complexities that accompany a transition out of a captive environment. The IBA program allows wirehouse advisors to focus on working with their clients, making investment decisions, and leaves the back office, compliance, and administrative work to us.

This support begins before you leave the firm you are working for today. A full transition plan is developed and reviewed to guarantee proper planning and the eventual execution of the most important aspect of your move to independence. The plan includes a detailed logistical map to quickly and efficiently obtain client consent for the ACAT of accounts, matches up mutual funds and money managers to the appropriate platforms to ensure the least amount of “change” in client product and managers, and lays out basic preferences you have on the set-up of your new independent business.

Once the plan is in place and ready for execution, the United Advisors team begins the set-up of your new office location, arranges for the proper software training for you and your staff, prepares licensing and registration for your new broker dealer and RIA relationships, as well as facilitates introductions to the appropriate platforms you will need to utilize in order to run your business in the independent market.

Our job is not done once you have completed a full transition of your book of business. Our Team will continue to support your business going forward, giving you the peace of mind you need to deliver outstanding recommendations and advice to your loyal client relationships without the burden of back-office, compliance, and administrative duties.
